I started my publishing business in 2006.
I also offer accent reduction lessons based on RP. I also help people to write and prepare public speeches.
My books, apps and video courses help me promote my lessons.
In this blog, I am delighted to share the marketing tools that I use to promote my books and apps that really work and make a difference in my sales.
Content Marketing Database: weekly emails with a link to a new blog on my website. I collect the emails of all people who contacted me regarding the topics of my business. It is a wonderful way to stay in touch with my customers. As a result, some of them write back to me to book a lesson. I would say that this is the most important marketing tool I use.
My second most successful marketing trick is having a loose insert in all books I publish. On this insert I advertise my website, email and services. It costs nothing and has brought me thousands of pounds and plenty of new students. It’s in A6 format, and it is between the cover and the first page in all my books.
As soon as I published my first book, I created a website, and I regularly update it. Google likes regular website updates, and each time I update it, my traffic increases.
I publish a LinkedIn newsletter four times a week, and I share it to other social media platforms
I have a YouTube channel, and I publish videos there. I must admit, I should do it more often, and I am hoping I will.
When my customers and students publish their reviews, I publish them on my website and LinkedIn
